Safeguarding Policy

As one of its major activities Seaton URC seeks to serve the needs of all people, promoting holistic development.

In doing so, Seaton URC takes seriously the welfare of all people who come onto its premises or who are involved in its activities.

Seaton URC aims to ensure that they are welcomed into a safe, caring Christian environment with a happy and friendly atmosphere.

Seaton URC recognises that it is the responsibility of each member of the congregation and staff, paid and unpaid, to prevent the neglect, physical, sexual or emotional abuse of anyone and to report any abuse discovered or suspected.

Seaton URC recognises its responsibilities to implement, maintain and regularly review procedures that are designed to prevent and to be alert to such abuse.

Seaton URC is committed to supporting, resourcing and training those who work with children, young people and vulnerable adults and to providing supervision.

Seaton URC is committed to maintaining good links with the statutory care authorities.
